In this paper, a two-layer power control scheme of hybrid ES is proposed, which aims to suppress the fluctuation of wind-PV hybrid output power. Firstly, the MPC algorithm is used to track the hybrid system''s grid-connected target power and obtain the hybrid ES total output power at each moment.
BESS is used to counteract the intermittent nature of renewables, thus by providing reliable, stable power. This paper proposes a distributed secondary control for islanded and grid-connected microgrids with BESS. Droop control is used to perform autonomous power management among sources in microgrids (MGs).
